PCFMA • Special Projects

Objective To lead collaborative community programs, grant-funded educational initiatives, and specialized brand extensions that required distinct visual identities outside of the core PCFMA brand architecture.

Strategy & Execution Throughout my tenure, I directed numerous high-visibility partnerships with Bay Area municipalities, local farms, and regional businesses. These specialized projects required a delicate balance. I needed to establish unique, highly engaging branding for external events and educational programs while ensuring they complemented our primary organizational identity.

Featured Initiatives

  • Beyond the Market (Digital Video & Advertising Infrastructure): Developed and directed this original video initiative, which became the foundational basis for the organization's official YouTube channel. I managed the production of documentary-style producer profiles (such as Stepladder Ranch) and seasonal recipe campaigns. This architecture is fully integrated into our main website and serves as the strategic hosting hub for unlisted video advertising deployed across Google, YouTube, Spotify, and all Meta platforms.

  • Eat with the Seasons (USDA Grant Initiative): Serving as Grant Director, I managed a comprehensive farmers' market education program. This involved overseeing the program budget, leading a cross-functional team of seven staff members, and managing all progress reporting. I also directed the full technical setup, branding, and graphic creation for the initiative's digital presentation and physical footprint at external events.

  • Power of Produce (POP): Developed the complete brand architecture for this children-focused educational program. I created a distinct, playful visual language that successfully operated within our primary markets and at external partner sites without diluting the core PCFMA identity.

  • Food Ed (Sister Non-Profit): Designed the foundational brand identity, including initial logo concepts and final visual deliverables, to launch this dedicated California food education organization.

  • Town of Danville Cookbook: Directed the end-to-end production of "A Taste of Danville," a comprehensive physical cookbook celebrating local chefs who source ingredients from our farmers. I meticulously oversaw every detail, from capturing the food photography and designing the multi-page editorial layout to featuring local culinary voices and seasonal adjustments. This included negotiating production costs and launching the promotional campaign to get the finished book into the hands of customers.
